Digital set to take over businesses as tech level the playing fields

Wednesday, 05 August 2020: As technology levels the playing fields for both small and big business, digital platforms that enable business to thrive are set to separate the adopters from the rest. This is according to Ignited Woman magazine founder and editor, Kamogelo Seekoei.

Kamogelo kicked off the Women’s Month webinar series for the Free State Chamber of Commerce and Industry on Tuesday 04 August 2020. She was invited to speak on the topics of women dominating their industries and how to navigate the pandemic in a digital age.

“Things are not just changing for the now but will continue on this trajectory going into the future – this is a renaissance and traditionally operated businesses will suffocate as the digital transformation kicks in,” she said.

Speaking on women leaders she quoted HP Inc Central Africa MD, Ify Afe, who was featured in the magazine: “Women in Africa make great businesspeople. We have a stronger need to get things done and are more willing to take risks than our male counterparts. This is because we are considered the underdog, no one ever expects to see great things from us. I have seen it play out in my own life story”.

Upcoming webinar

The upcoming chamber virtual meeting will be held on 11 August 2020 with Free State Legislature Attorney and Legal Advisor, Connie Khantsi-Sefo as guest speaker.
